Good morning, good afternoon and good evening, wherever you are in the world. This is episode number 83 of the American English Podcast, and I’m so happy to be back this week with another Chats with Shana episode. It’s been about 20 episodes since I’ve done one of these and it’s long overdue, so I hope you enjoy.

If this is your first time listening to an episode of this type, be aware that Chats with Shana episodes are casual and less structured than regular Expression episodes or the 5-Minute English episodes, and they give you a sense of someone’s train of thought. So the thoughts that are going through someone’s brain. Of course, for an ESL lesson, this will be a native speaker, and the native speaker is me.

In this episode, I figured I’d talk about what has been going on in our lives recently. By "our" lives, I mean, my family’s, so Lucas, my husband, and my two daughters, Julia and Clara. Both of them are under two years old. Clara was just born, about two months ago.
