“Amazon is so confident in their system and seemingly rightly so, that they have actually apparently told another news outlet – that managed to walk out with a yogurt they didn’t pay for – you know what, go ahead, keep it. The yogurt is on us. Because they seem to believe that the system is so accurate that even with those occasional misfires, they’re still going to make up for the cost of cashiers, plain clothes, loss prevention, security people and well, just the normal shoplifting that retailers refer to as shrink.”

Hi everybody! How’s it going? In that introduction you heard a Youtuber talking about his first experience at the Amazon Go pilot location in Seattle, Washington. If you haven’t heard of Amazon Go, it’s a grocery store where you can walk out without checking out, meaning you can pick up items in the grocery store and simply leave. I will provide the link within the transcript.

So we’re going to talk about the Amazon Go stores today and how they work. But before we do, I’m going to go ahead and tell you a joke.
